Wendy Ashton, 54, of Bloomsburg, passed away at her home on Friday, July 27, 2018.
Born in Danville, on July 28, 1963, she was the daughter of Betty Hill Ashton. She was the loving granddaughter of Jane E. Hill.
Wendy grew up in Danville, on Montour Row and for all of those who grew up around there knew how special that was. She worked for many years at Burger King in Danville, and her smiling face was always a welcome site to the weary traveler or hungry regular coming through the drive thru. She was an avid gardener and had plants and flowers all of her life. Her greatest joy in life though, were her children and grandchildren and spending time with them was what made her the happiest. She loved playing card games and doing crafts with her granddaughter Adyson, who she saw almost every weekend. She is loved by her family and many friends and will be missed more than words can say.
She is survived by her children: son, Brian Ferguson, of Danville, daughter, Ryan Ferguson, and her companion, Jr. Beck, of Millville, and son, Tyler Wintersteen, of Danville; as well as her brothers: Jim Minichella, Bloomsburg, Harold Ashton, and Colin Ashton, Danville; and sister, Amy Ashton, of Mooresburg. Wendy also leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Adyson Kipple and Blake Ferguson; and her favorite nieces: Sarah Ashton and Laura Ashton.
Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, grandmother, and brother, John Ashton, in 2008.
Wendy’s care is entrusted to the Bunnell Funeral Home, Millville.
