George Allen Stine Sr., 67, of Bloomsburg, went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 24, 1951, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Verdon and Ethel (Pursel) Stine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Stine, and his wife, Karen.
He graduated from Bloomsburg High School Class of 1970. George served in the military during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. George worked for Haddon Craftsman.
George is survived by his wife, the former Rae Jean Artley, whom he married on Jan. 4, 1975; son, George Allen Stine Jr., and wife, Heather, of Catawissa, two daughters: Carey Mae Adams and husband, Skip, of Danville, Amy C. Stine of Williamsport; as well as nine grandchildren: Alyssa, Barry, Dyer, Mason, Jensine, Madalynne, Nevaeh, Kayza, and Cyzer: three brothers: Charles Stine and wife, Joanne, of Catawissa, James Stine and wife, Linda, and Donald Stine, all of Bloomsburg; sister, Nancy Engel, of Bloomsburg; and in-laws: Raymond and Harriet Artley of Bloomsburg.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 727 Columbia Hill Road, Danville, with the Rev. Thomas M. Glasoe officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
