Andrea Garcia Obituary

Andrea L. Garcia, 61, of Bloomsburg passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Surviving is her husband of 43 years, Manuel M. Garcia.

Born on November 29, 1964, she was a daughter of the late John D. Ehmer, Sr. and Lucetta K. (McBride) Ehmer, of Texas.

A proud graduate of Central High School, Andrea's dedication to her work was evident to all who knew her. She spent her entire career as a manager at TA Travel Center and rest stop.

Andrea's passions were as varied as they were heartfelt. She enjoyed shooting her bow and gardening. Cooking was not just her favorite thing to do; it was an expression of her love for her family and friends, with each dish she prepared being a warm embrace for the soul. Andrea's creativity shone through in her paracord crafts, creating gun slings and dog leashes that were as practical as they were beautiful. Above all, Andrea was an avid animal lover, and this love was a thread that ran through every aspect of her life. It was this love that often defined her, making her a kindred spirit to all creatures great and small.

Surviving in addition to husband and mother are two sons, Anthony D. Garcia of Bloomsburg and Robert A. Garcia (Krystle Cameron) of Millville; three grandchildren; and her brother, John D. Ehmer, Jr. (Joelle) of Berwick; a niece Courtney Ehmer (Melissa) of New Jersey; and her beloved dog, GiGi, was a constant companion and a recipient of her boundless affection.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Andrea’s name to the Pennsylvania SPCA Central PA Center in Danville 1467 Bloom Rd., Danville, PA 17821.
