Barry L. Winders, 67, of Bloomsburg passed away on February 5, 2026, at his residence in Bloomsburg. He was born July 17, 1958, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late William C. and Leda B. (Bacon) Winders.
He was a devoted husband to the former Beth M. Hower for 42 years. Together, they brought into the world four children, Seth Hower and his wife Melissa of VA, Shawn Winders and his wife Sheila of Berwick, William Winders and his wife Melissa of Mansfield, and Amber Brown of Washingtonville. His legacy expands through his eight grandchildren—Lydie, Bayde, Damien, Xandra, Tru, Jett, Scarlett, and Jasprett—and three great-grandchildren, Skylor, Trace, and Lara, who will carry forward his stories and the memories of his warmth and generosity. Barry's family circle also includes his loving sister, Bonnie Shuman of Bloomsburg, and his brother, Charles Hubbard of Orangeville.
Barry was a man of the earth, his hands steering the wheel of mighty trucks for various companies, with Mitchel Knorr Contracting being his last professional home. The outdoors was Barry's sanctuary, where he found peace and rejuvenation. Hunting was not only a hobby but also a connection to nature's rhythms and the freedom of the open skies. His passion for the wilderness was a source of joy and a hobby he looked forward to with each passing season.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his siblings Terry Winders, Hilda Rice, and Dale Hubbard, who have now welcomed him into eternal rest.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may send online condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com. The Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., Millville is handling arrangements.
